I don’t know any fic that’s like that Anon, sorry! Maybe one of my followers knows?
hmmm sorry Anon, I don’t really know any NH fanfic with this specific theme, but I can recommend you some ff that I like:
- Team 8 (classic, but unfinished and it’s been years since the author updated; it’s still super super good): What if Naruto had been selected for a different team? What if he’d had a different mentor? Who would guess the consequences would be so large?
- If Tomorrow Never Comes (finished short story, but it’s so good. Also, smut sdljfsdlj, kinda dark;): The world has been at war for two years and it seems as though Konoha may be the only village still standing tall. In the early afternoon of another precarious day, a girl with pale, lavender eyes is stolen.
- People Lie (the beginning of this fic is a little strange but I LOVE this one. Not finished and the last update was ages ago, but still worth it): Lies have power. They can change a simple-minded believer into a two-faced schemer and a timid follower into a fanatical devotee. They can change a child angry at the world into a man consumed by more than vengeance. But that power is a lie as well.
- Geniuses of Hardwork (complete and so good! also: GAI AND LEE WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?): Might Guy trades Neji and Tenten to take Naruto and Hinata on his team. Can he take this group of misfits and turn them into a team of geniuses…or will he be forced to give up wearing spandex forever? Naruhina LeexAyame
- White Lilies (ugh what can I say??? I love this one and the angst and ugfgggfff, I started reading it thanks to @szajnie drawing; the author is still updating, but this one’s in AO3, not ff.net): She knit a red scarf for him. She never gave it to him. Days turned into months, months turned into too late. Naruto starts dating. Hinata decides to move on. A sickness takes root in the heart.
tbh I don’t read much NH, I prefer OC’s/OC SI fics but anyway xD!
This probably went in a direction you didn’t want, Nonny, but I hope you enjoy!
Naruto Uzamaki didn’t know fear.
If you were to ask anyone in Konoha, anyone in the five nations, anyone anywhere, ever–they’d all tell you the same thing. Naruto Uzamaki was fearless.
His closest friends and teammates would tell you that he’s too stubborn to be afraid.
Sakura would tell you that: “Of course he feels fear–he just doesn’t let it stand in his way. Fear doesn’t stop Naruto.”
Naruto himself would tell you that he doesn’t really think about it.
But he’s thinking about it now.
Because Naruto Uzamaki is afraid.
Beyond afraid.
He is terrified.
Hinata Hyuuga is dying.
Bleeding out on a cold, dark street, splattered with rain and blood, all because she had a craving for cinnamon twists at eleven thirty at night.
She can almost hear her cousin Neji’s voice in her ear reprimanding her for riding her bike after dark. She wonders if she’ll get to hear his “I told you so”. She kind of doubts it–all things considered.
She can’t make sense of much of her thoughts. All she knows is that she should have stuck to that Keto-diet-thing that Ino was crazy about. Then she wouldn’t be shivering and gasping on the asphalt like a fish out of water, waiting for death to relieve her from agonizing pain. Carbs really were the enemy.
She chuckles and chokes on blood.
She’s almost comforted by the fact that she’s as much of a dork in death as she was in life.
Almost.
She doesn’t want to die.
She wants to see Hanabi graduate.
She wants to be a bridesmaid at TenTen and Neji’s wedding.
She wants to finally, finally, beat Kiba in Mario Kart.
She wants to have a first love.
A first kiss.
Someone to share her life with.
She’s only twenty-two.
note: I attempted to combine this one with your other prompt of “Naruto having a deep conversation with Himawari”. please be aware of the fact that I stopped interacting with canon material after a failed attempt at watching the Boruto anime a few years back, so I wouldn’t say that I’m even ‘in’ this fandom still, but I hope you enjoy this lil somethin regardless. 🥰🥰
“Either I’m out of shape or I’m far too old for this.” Even as he let himself fall backwards, his back smacking against the ground (and hard), he couldn’t help but laugh. The impact felt like nothing compared to the beating he’d just received.
From across the clearing he heard a snort and then a giggle.
“If you’re out of shape then we’re in trouble Hokage-sama.”
Closing his eyes he grinned wider as he heard her approach. The grass was sparse on the training grounds, but he managed to pluck a few blades out, before lifting his arm and letting the wind sweep them away.
It was a habit he’d never outgrown.
With an inhale and a sigh, Himawari approached, spinning and falling back beside him. The grace at which she moved was certainly all inherited from her mother. He’d watched his daughter knock teeth out with a delicacy he swore dancers didn’t even possess.
Though her fists were anything but gentle…

FANFIC RECS:
I tried to recommend the ones that haven’t been mentioned before, but if you see a repeat, that just means you must read it. The ones with a star (
★ ) are the fics that I absolutely love and those that I’m keeping a close eye on because they’re sooo good ♥ I put the list under the cut because it’s too long. Also, © means the fic is complete, (O) is for ongoing, and (1) is for oneshot. ENJOY!
PS: You might wonder - why ShisuixHinata? Well, just read the fics below to find out. I might be able to convert you *evil laughter*
have you ever started reading a book and just put it down and thought “i have read better fiction by fifteen-year-olds with microsoft word and a fanfiction.net account”
me, 11 chapters deep in a 25 chapter slowburn fic at 2 am, eyes burning and the phone keeps slipping out of my fingers:

Prompt: Firsts/Pillowtalk
Rating: G
Hinata wiped the sweat off her brow with the back of her hand. Summers in Konoha were hard enough, but rebuilding a village in a Konoha summer was borderline torture.
Technically a valley, their village was built upon the dips and rises of hills around them. Though there wasn’t much left, and there was also a huge crater in the village’s epicenter that had ‘neatly’ leveled much of Konoha, Hinata found herself in the far end of the village where the hills still flowed freely, sitting upon a wall of what used to be a compound.
At her elevation, she was given a better view of Konoha, allowing her to take in its skeletal remains, and the shinobi and civilians alike, working tirelessly to build back what was once their home.
Just 20 minutes ago she too was working away, but a sharp pain in her chest had halted her. Sakura had been extremely strict that she was not to exert herself in any way. Technically, Hinata wasn’t even sure if she was allowed to participate in the reconstruction, but she was determined to do her part. Her heart could take it. It had, after all, taken much worse.
Despite her resolution to work hard, she was not suicidal, and she knew she would have to frequent more breaks than others if she wanted to continue contributing.
With a quiet sigh, Hinata rubs at the cloth that covers her heart, willing the pumping muscle to stop being feeble.
“Hinata?”
Her hand freezes in its rubbing, and slowly Hinata looks down. She finds herself peering straight into pained blue eyes.
Title: Late-Night Reading
Prompt: Pregnancy - NaruHina Month Day 6
Words: 1796A/N: This was inspired by a scene I saw in a drama and I thought that this fluff was perfect for NaruHina. Please forgive me for any occurrence of errors (I’m sure there are a lot), English is neither my native nor my second language and I know that I have to improve a lot. I found the featured extracts of the story here. I hope you enjoy reading. Happy NaruHina Month^^
Naruto sighed when he closed the door to the apartment. He hadn’t expected to be home this late.
He tried to be as quiet as possible since during her pregnancy Hinata got used to going to bed early even tough she disliked staying inside all the time. He wanted to see her but her wellbeing was more important that his needs right now.
Carefully he stripped off his sandals and stepped on the smooth parquet.
While he fumbled with the zipper of his jacket he realized that there was a dim light coming from the living room. He wondered if Hinata hadn’t gone to bed yet or if she fell asleep on the couch again.
Title: A Father
Pairing: NaruHina
Words: 1298
A/N: I promised that I would write this for you anon and here it is (I know, very late). Since the prompt is very broad, I wrote the first thing I could think of (it’s rather about becoming parents than actually having babies around), I hope that’s okay~ This prompt was the best to distract myself today.
“I’m pregnant,” Hinata repeated over and over in her head. She smiled, just slightly, not too obvious for passengers to recognize.
Caressing her belly as if there was something distinct to sense, the ground felt like a road of clouds and she was flying.
She had known about the child for a few days already but telling Naruto yesterday somehow made it more real, vivid. And only her and Naruto knowing right now made it a little more special. She wanted to keep it that way even if it was just for a short time.
Though she tried not to think of Naruto’s past reaction, because it made her grin and her cheeks hurt, she couldn’t keep her mind from wandering off to him.
How he had held her tightly for half an hour without uttering a word, asked if she needed anything whenever he left the room or how he had been about to serve her breakfast in bed because she shouldn’t strain herself too much.
